Tells Poker Is Coming to Carnegie Mellon

On Friday, April 17, Tells Poker will be hosting the CMU × Tells Poker Tournament at Carnegie Mellon — a live No-Limit Texas Hold’em event built for real competition, real community, and a great night of poker.

It’s a serious and fun tournament structure with a social atmosphere: 30,000 starting stacks, 20-minute levels, and a 100% prize pool payout with no rake. Free food, drinks, and a mixed field of newer and experienced players round out what should be one of the most exciting poker nights on campus this spring.

At Tells Poker, we’re building for players who care about getting better — not just while studying hands afterward, but as part of the full poker experience. Hosting live events is a natural extension of that vision. Poker has always been social, competitive, and deeply human, and we want Tells Poker to be part of that energy both online and at the table. Carnegie Mellon is just the beginning.
